Justin Bieber set to appear in court on Valentine’s Day
It looks like Bieber’s Valentine’s Day plans won’t be as romantic as some of his fans may have hoped, the performer is set to appear before a South Florida judge on charges of DUI, resisting arrest and driving with an expired license on the romantic holiday.
The County judge on Tuesday chose February 14 as the arraignment date for the now 19-year-old performer. During the arraignment process, prosecutors will formally file charges against the singer, Bieber will then enter an official plea. Though it is usually expected, Bieber may not have to officially attend the court-date, his defense could submit his plea in writing.
It was earlier this month when both Justin Bieber and singer Khalil Amir Sharieff were arrested, the two face charges in Florida. According to reports Bieber admitted to smoking marijuana, taking a prescription medication and drinking. More information on the charges will be known after the prosecution makes its formal decision.
