Leonardo DiCaprio and Jonah Hill recreate a Titanic moment on SNL

If you missed SNL last night, then you missed Leonardo DiCaprio crashing in on Jonah Hill’s opening monologue. It was one of this season’s most surprising moments, Jonah Hill was guest hosting the evening, coming off an Oscar nomination for the film ‘The Wolf of Wall Street’ but Leonardo DiCaprio was there to keep the host from getting a big head about it.

The opening joke sequences was about Hill having to share the spotlight with Leonardo DiCaprio, with people asking questions, not about Jonah, but about Leonardo DiCaprio and what it was like to work with him. It was Taran Killam, who even dressed as Brad Pitt in Moneyball, who asked “What’s DiCaprio like? I bet he’s the best!”

While Hill was still talking Leonardo DiCaprio walked onto the set and the crowd exploded. Leo simply asked, “I have a question,” he asked. “What the hell are you doing, man?” Later Hill then asked DiCaprio if they could do “the thing we did every day, the thing that made me feel safe.” That’s when the two reenacted one of the most famous scenes in Titanic, made famous from Leo and Kate Winslet in 1997.
