FOX moves closer to Fantastic Four casting, testing to begin in January
Although FOX has confirmed the reboot, and given a release window to the film, the cast of the new ‘Fantastic Four’ has still been a mystery. Now Variety is reporting that Simon Kinberg has completed the final script and that actor-tests should begin shortly.
At least two of the roles should begin testing, according to the report, those being Mister Fantastic and the Invisible Woman. A few names have been tossed around in the weeks leading up to the casting choices, such as Kit Harington (Game of Thrones, Pompeii) and Miles Teller (Divergent) both testing for Mr. Fantastic himself.
On the female spectrum there is Saoirse Ronan (The Grand Budapest Hotel) and Kate Mara (shown on the right, Shooter, Iron Man 2) both of whom may test for the role of the Invisible Woman. At least the director has been nailed down, that went to Josh Trank. The film will have a tight schedule if casting is delayed, FOX has already slated the picture for June 19, 2015. That will leave a little more than a year and a half to get the film shot and through post-production.
The Comic-book movie-genre is already getting crowded for the next two-years, with Spider-Man 3, Man of Steel 2 and The Avengers 2 all taking aim at the box-office from May through June.
