Selena Gomez takes a moment from Rudderless at Sundance to perform
Never to let fans down, Selena Gomez took a small break at Sundance to sing a couple of songs while she was attending the event this week. This is Gomez’s first trip to Park City, Utah she is promoting her new film ‘Rudderless’, a new-indie drama with Billy Crudup and William H. Macy.
Gomez sang one of the songs from the film as well as her hit “Come and Get It,” while promoting the film at the popular winter-event. This comes just after Gomez announced that she would have to cancel the Australian portion of her tour to take time off from her hectic lifestyle. The singer had stated previously that she needed to, “spend time on myself in order to be the best person I can be.”
The film is expected to do well at Sundance. The story is of s grieving father in a downward spire who finds a box of his recently deceased son’s demo tapes and lyrics. Shocked by the discovery of this unknown talent, he forms a band in the hope of finding some catharsis. This is the first film directed by William H. Macy, based on a screenplay from Jeff Robison and Casey Twenter.
