Madonna apologizes for racial slur on Instagram

Madonna took a moment to apologize on Saturday, the pop-queen used a racial slur in a caption on one of her Instagram photos. The photo was of her son and the image was posted on Friday night. It didn’t take long before many fans were angrily responding to the image.

Madonna-Insert“No one messes with Dirty Soap! Mama said knock you out!” Madonna wrote using a popular alternative to the traditional N-word, this according to the Associated Press report.

“I am sorry if I offended anyone with my use of the N word on Instagram. It was not meant as a racial slur. I am not a racist. There’s no way to defend the use of the word. It was all about intention,” she said in the response. “It was used as a term of endearment toward my son who is white. I appreciate that it’s a provocative word and I apologize if it gave people the wrong impression.”

It should be noted that the singer has three children that were not in the photo, two of those children are black that she adopted from Malawi.
