Gillian Anderson signs book deal, will establish new franchise ‘EarthEnd Saga’
It was the genre that made her a household name, Gillian Anderson has agreed to co-write a new sci-fii franchise named ‘EarthEnd Saga’. Anderson, made famous by her role in “The X-Files,” confirmed the new science-fiction book series deal earlier today.
Publishing the series is Simon & Schuster, the book will be published under the branch of the publisher Simon451, reserved for science-fiction. Co-writing the book is Jeff Rovin but Anderson will both write and develop the new franchise.
The first book in the expected series will be called, “A Vision of Fire.” The book will follow a child psychiatrist treating PTSTD from natural disasters or other non-war tragedies. It is one of these children that the psychiatrist meets that begins the storyline.
In an interview with Entertainment Weekly Anderson said, “It’s been a fantastic experience. I enjoy writing, but don’t usually allow myself the time, and I don’t think I’d ever think to write something in this genre without the prodding of someone like Jeff. She conned, “After nine years of living in a semi-science-fictional universe, I think I now have an ingrained knowledge and rhythm for it.” The first book, “A Vision of Fire” will be released in October.
