James Cameron has added two stars to the Avatar sequels, the series has gone quiet since we reported that Disney was building a new addition onto the park for the franchise. The studio is putting a lot of backing to the series as well, with three new movies set to expand the Avatar universe in the future.
Two of the original stars are set to reprise their roles in the film, Sam Worthington and Zoe Saldana. The first film was released in 2009 and although that may seem like a long time ago, the new films are set to release much faster, almost annually after Avatar 2. In the first movie Worthington played Jake Sully while Saldana took on the role of Neytiri.
Other stars set to make an appearance are Stephen Lang, though he died in the first film it’s unclear if he returns in pure flashbacks, or if he is somehow reanimated to help pick up the fight. Fans still have a while to wait before even the first of the three sequels is released. The premiere for Avatar is set for December 2016.
