It shouldn’t be that surprising to anyone that has been following the ratings charts, but HBO made it official anyway; Girls will return for season four. Just as season three gets ready to kickoff this coming Sunday, the fourth season is already on pre-order for the hit network.
The news came from HBO, who made the announcement during Thursday’s press event. The show’s creator and star Lena Dunham, along with the executive producer of the series Judd Apatow, were the ones that broke that news. The show has been a breakaway hit for HBO, and it has only aired for two seasons so far.
The third season of the series will premiere this Sunday at 9pm on HBO in a special back-to-back episode block. So get those Girls premiere party invites out, you only have two days left.
