Miley Cyrus helps close down New Year’s Eve in Times Square
Miley Cyrus braved the cold, New Year’s Eve chill last night in Times Square here in New York to a host of a thousands of screaming fans. Cyrus herself was forced to bundle up (compared to previous stage attire) saying that this was the, “most clothes I’ve been in in 2013.”
Set to watch the ball drop in below freezing temperatures, fans huddled together in their closed off pens for the annual New Year’s Eve celebration on December 31, 2013.
It wasn’t just the temperatures that were feeling under-the-weather, Cyrus herself was fighting “cough/cold” symptoms earlier in the day. On her personal Twitter account Cyrus told fans, “If I can just get thru tonight I can have a nice lil break.”
In an unbuttoned white fur coat, covering a metallic-gold crop top and pants, Cyrus was about as properly dressed as she ever had been, performing “#Geitright” but it was “Wrecking Ball” that one the crowd over.
In an instant the crowed began singing along, and the pop-song was a perfect fit to ring-in 2014. It was one of the better performances for the night, and the perfect way for Cyrus to end her 2013 reign on the charts and in media.
