A new Planet of the Apes film is getting closer and closer to its release date, and a new trailer is available to set the scene. The population of genetically evolved apes, led by their leader Caesar, is growing but a human population still remains.
A tepid peace is on the verge of failing, and soon the humans will have to strike back in order to survive. A virus has all but eradicated the human population at this point, and the apes are closer than ever to owning the planet for good.
There can only be one victor though, and the film is set to prove who is the dominant species in this costly war. The film has a July 11 release date and was directed by Matt Reeves with a script written by Mark Bomback (screenplay) based on the Pierre Boulle novel. The film stars Gary Oldman, Keri Russell and Andy Serkis.
