Olivia Wilde’s new film Lazarus will debut late January 2014 in theaters
Sci-fi fans should mark January 30, 2015 on their calendars, that is now the official date for the Lionsgate film ‘Lazarus’. The studio made the confirmation earlier tonight (Tuesday) that puts the film just two-days before the big kickoff for Super Bowl XLIX.
As of right now, no other films have been scheduled to compete with the horror-thriller but it most likely won’t go unchallenged. Wilde will share the screen with Mark Duplass, Donald Glover, Evan Peters and Sarah Bolger, the group play a team of research students studying the human brain that cause the death of a fellow study. As the plot moves further along the death of the team-member causes supernatural atrocities to befall the cast.
Leading this project is David Gelb, working from a script written by Luke Dawson and Jeremy Slater. Jason Blum, part of the team that has brought “Paranormal Activity,” “Insidious” and “Purge” to theaters is also behind the film.
