With More in stock online, Microsoft sells over 2 million Xbox One units
Microsoft Corp achieved an important milestone this week, the company confirmed that it has sold more than 2 million Xbox One video game consoles since the launch of the console on November 22. This allows Microsoft to equal the same number sold as Sony Corp’s PlayStation 4, who made a similar announcement just last week.
According to the report, Microsoft stated that it took just 18 days for Xbox One’s global sales to surpass 2 million, that would make the Xbox One the fastest selling console in Microsoft’s history to hit 2 million units sold. To give you an idea of just how close the console race is, Sony made the same mark in 15 days.
The Xbox 360 has a lot of titles that Microsoft hopes the Xbox One surpasses, the Xbox One was sold in 13 countries at launch, and is still quite hard to acquire.
The Xbox One, has an MSRP of $499 in the United States, while the PS4 is just $399. Though almost sold-out everywhere, Amazon has recently had short bursts of the console on sale. For the last week we have counted three days that the console has been available on the website, in multiple bundles, all available to be shipped out.
