SAG Awards 2013 Nominations List Announced

 
Earlier today (Wednesday) the list of nominations were announced for the 2013 Screen Actors Guild Awards. The nominations were revealed live from the Pacific Design Center in West Hollywood. Reading off the names were Rizzoli & Isles‘ Sasha Alexander and Marvel’s Agents Of S.H.I.E.L.D.‘s Clark Gregg, after an introduction front the SAG-AFTRA president Ken Howard.
 
There are 13 acting categories (5 in film, 8 in television) with special categories for outstanding action performances by TV and film stunt ensembles. The special categories are announced before the main show on January 18.
 
Leading the way was Lee Daniels’ The Butler, that film took four nominations. The race for Outstanding Performance By A Cast (basically ‘Best Picture’) is a close call this year, with The Butler going up against 12 Years A Slave, American Hustle, August: Osage County and Dallas Buyers Club.
 
Members have until Friday, January 17, 2014 to cast and enter their votes for the awards. The Winners will be announced at the SAG Awards on January 18 at the Shrine Auditorium in LA, you will be able to watch the event live on the TNT and TBS network.
