Lifetime and Project Runway All Stars brings QVC To The Runway

As they enter into season three, Lifetime’s Project Runway All Stars is set to bring a new retail challenge involving QVC. On this week’s episode, the six remaining designers will be whisked away by helicopter to the QVC corporate headquarters in Pennsylvania where they will be challenged to design a stunning red carpet gown for QVC Program Host Lisa Robertson. The episode will also feature Robertson as a guest judge alongside “Mad Men” actress Elisabeth Moss, former Project Runway All Stars winner Mondo Guerra and returning judge Isaac Mizrahi.

After being named the winner of the challenge that will air December 12, the week’s top designer is scheduled to appear on QVC with Robertson to offer a ready-to-wear version of his or her winning design. On Monday, December 16 during “PM Style,” the winner will experience the thrill of introducing their creation to a captive audience of consumers on live television.

“As a live network, we have a unique ability to affect our programming in real time, reacting to pop culture and maximizing our collaboration with Project Runway All Stars,” said Karen Fonner, vice president of content marketing and programming for QVC. “We are excited for Lisa to be a part of the show and are eager to introduce QVC to viewers who might not have shopped with us before seeing this challenge.”

Throughout the most competitive season to date, the designers have utilized the QVC Accessory Wall to help complete their looks for the runway. In addition to the QVC red carpet challenge this week, the grand prize winner of Project Runway All Stars will design a capsule collection for QVC, scheduled to be available following the season finale in January.

“We’re pleased that our collaboration with QVC offers the winning designers the opportunity to introduce their pieces directly to consumers via multimedia exposure,” said Meryl Poster, executive producer of Project Runway All Stars. “It’s a great way for these up-and-comers to reach a wider retail market.”

Catch the “As Sewn on TV” episode Thursday, December 12 at 9 PM (ET) on Lifetime. Then, tune in to QVC during “PM Style with Lisa Robertson” Monday, December 16 at 7 PM (ET) to purchase a ready-to-wear version of the winning design, also available on QVC.com.
