Showtime ends Californication with season 7
A sad day for fans of Californication, the popular series on Showtime starring David Duchovny, Showtime has confirmed that the next season will now be its last. The late-night comedy has had a very good run, lasting six seasons so far and ending in April 2014 after it completes the seventh.
The series starred David Duchovny, who played a novelist named Hank Moody. The seventh season will end with a final 12 episodes in April 2014. Showtime is running out of comedies at the moment, with this series ending next year Showtime will have to find replacements for Californication and Dexter, two of the network’s leading offerings.
There is a new series, a Philip Seymour Hoffman pilot named ‘Trending Down’ and it does have a few shows left in its cannons including the popular series House of Lies, Nurse Jackie and the ongoing show Shameless.
