Olivia Cooke set to star in Michael Bay produced horror-thriller Ouija
Expect a lot of ‘this is not a game’ marketing promos in the new year as the film ‘Ouija’ gets underway. The film, produced by an army of veterans including; Michael Bay, Brad Fuller Andrew Form, Jason Blum, Brian Goldner and Bennett Schneir of Hasbro, just confirmed one of the leading roles.
Olivia Cooke has been chosen to star in the film, Cooke is best known for her work on the A&E series Bates Motel, as you can guess the film is slightly based around the Hasbro board game that tweens use to scare each other at sleepovers.
As for other stars in the film, Douglas Smith was chosen for the male lead, the project begins filming next week and will be directed by Stiles White. Written by Juliet Snowden and White the film will revolve around a group of friends that use the classic game to contact a recently deceased friend/classmate. We know that Smith is the formerly-living classmate’s boyfriend, and probably the first suspect in the film because that’s how these things go.
