Naughty Dog details Uncharted for PS4, Last of Us DLC in 2014
Arne Meyer, the Community Strategist at Naughty Dog, let spill a ton of upcoming goodies for PS3 and PS4 players on the eve of the PS4 launch. The reveals were part of the Spike TV PS4 All Access launch event to kick off the PS4. Shown was a teaser trailer for The Last of Us: Left Behind, the new single-player DLC campaign coming early 2014.
The biggest teaser video confirmed the new Uncharted game for the PlayStation 4. As Meyer stated, the video is “voiced by a mysterious character.” She went on to describe the DLC for The Last of Us: Left Behind, the first single-player DLC released for the game. Ashley Johnson will reprise her role as Ellie as she is attending a military boarding school in the Boston quarantine zone. This is before her meeting with Joel and the events in the main campaign of The Last of Us. So it won’t be messing up anyone’s timelines.
“Joining Ellie on this new adventure is Riley, her best friend and also a mentor of sorts at the military boarding school,” Meyer stated. “Just as The Last of Us focused on the bond between Ellie and Joel, Left Behind explores the bond between Ellie and Riley through a series of events that will forever change both of their lives.” The Last of Us: Left Behind will be releasing in early 2014. The Left Behind is included in the The Last of Us Season Pass, so if you bought it, you’re all set.
As for Uncharted Meyer stated, “Our goal is to continue what we’ve done in previous console generations and once again deliver the best in storytelling, performance capture, technical innovation and graphics on the PS4. We can confirm that the voiceover is performed by Todd Stashwick and he will play a character in the game.”
