Almost every major religion has a flood story, the story of Noah’s ark is one of those stores. The upcoming film has released the very first trailer for the new movie (named simply “Noah”), and it was directed by Darren Aronofsky (Black Swan). Although the story may be familiar to many, the cinematography focuses on the gritty, realistic depictions of the time-period, even adding Noah’s fellow-man to the storyline and how they would react to the coming storm.
Russell Crowe stars as Noah and Jennifer Connelly takes on the role of Noah’s wife during the film. Noah tells of his dreams of the impending destruction of the world to Methuselah (Anthony Hopkins), and Noah and his family (Emma Watson, Logan Lerman, and Douglas Booth) must build an ark in order to carry on Earth’s inhabitants.
The film seems to pull into light the relation of Noah in several ways, his importance of the Ark story, his family and his countryman that inevitably get left behind. The movie shows grand epic scenes of fiery imagery and devastating water pouring over the world, it seems to be no small event; both Biblically and according to the film’s budget for CGI work.
