Usually in any movie that you have Robots, you have Robots that will be evil and turn on humanity. Apparently the fictional inhabitants of the world where Robocop takes place has the same upbringing about Robots, because there are people speaking out against cruelty to robots.
The reboot of the popular 1980s classic has everything you would want in a Robocop remake, including over-the-top special effects and a man rebuilt with super robo-powers. The film stars Gary Oldman, Joel Kinnaman, Douglas Urbanski, Abbie Cornish and of course the baddest M-Fer of them all, Samuel L. Jackson. According to the official description not too much has been changed from the original film series, “In 2028 Detroit, when Alex Murphy (Joel Kinnaman) – a loving husband, father and good cop – is critically injured in the line of duty, the multinational conglomerate OmniCorp sees their chance for a part-man, part-robot police officer.” So it looks like fans of the films should leave happy, though we will have to wait and see.
The film is set to release on February 12, 2014 here in North America
