The annual Pretty Little Liars’ Halloween episode is one of the series’ most-watched episodes of the year, and with the latest numbers from Nielsen reporting in, those viewers sure do love Twitter. With a unique audience of 6,342, the show beat The Walking Dead (5,009) and CrazySexyCool: The TLC Story (4,837.5). With impressions soaring for Pretty Little Liars (59,080.7), it came in at almost double of The Walking Dead (29,251.6), making it easy to see how the show rocketed up the charts.
What is unusual is how TLC’S impressions (at #1 this week with 100,312.7) and number of Tweets (also #1 at 1,915.7) didn’t help the show break the third spot. This shows that although having giant brands like MTV tweeting your series, does get people taking on Twitter, but it doesn’t always lead to more viewers.
This week’s number 5 slot went to Ravenswood, the spin-off series of Pretty Little Liars, and new to the list so far this year. It will be interesting to see how the dual-dynamic of both series will carry on through the season.
