Ah the system requirements, there is such a terrific feeling to experienced when you realize your gaming machine easily trumps the list, and nothing worse for a gamer than realizing they need to upgrade expensive hardware.
Earlier this week Infinity Ward posted the official minimum system requirements for the PC version of Call of Duty: Ghost. The game comes out on November 6th, so if you need to upgrade by launch day, that’s unfortunate. You shouldn’t have too much to worry about, once again it’s just going to come down to your graphics card. Since it requires 6GB of RAM obviously you will have to be running 64bit of Windows, but that’s pretty commonplace at this point.
OS: Windows 7 64-Bit / Windows 8 64-Bit
CPU: Intel Core 2 Duo E8200 2.66 GHz / AMD Phenom X3 8750 2.4 GHz or better
Memory: 6 GB RAM
Hard Disk Space: 40 GB
Video: NVIDIA GeForce GTS 450 / ATI Radeon HD 5870 or better
Sound: 100% DirectX 9.0c compatible 16-bit sound card
Internet: Broadband Internet connection for Steam and Online Multiplayer.
If you are getting the PC version, you should be happy to know that the developer states that the Windows PC version of Call of Duty: Ghosts is the “best Call of Duty experiences ever.” The game comes with a ton of free DLC and goodies if you pre-order, even more if you get on of the advanced editions.
You can check out all the pre-order goodies, prices and edition on official product pages like Amazon.com/callofdutyghosts
