Apple users and tech-junkies should have today stashed away on their reminder lists and calendars, today is another Apple announcement event. Expected to be revealed today are the iPad 5 and a new iPad Mini and new details on the launch of the new OS system. The event takes place in San Francisco later today (Tuesday), and will have the chance to watch it live starting at 1 p.m. ET/10 a.m. PT.
Apple will be live streaming the presentation, not to everyone, but if you have an Apple device then you will be able access the video using Safari. You will need to run Safari 4 or later so make sure you are updated ahead of time so you don’t miss out on anything. You can watch the event on your Apple TV, iPad or iPhone.
Live from the Yerba Buena Center for the Arts Theater in San Francisco, you can expect Apple to pull out all of the stops this year as it marches on towards the holiday season. The new iPad 5 and iPad mini are the frontrunners for the event, other analysts predict that Apple TV will be upgraded and a new Macbook Pro line will be announced. Others believe that iPad Mini will finally get a Retina display, and perhaps the iPad 5 will support the new touchID scanners. The iWatch is still a far possibility at this point, but all of the theories and secrets will be explored and answered in just a few hours.
