The incredibly popular U.K. girl group known as ‘Little Mix’ is set to release their sophomore album ‘Salute’ in the U.K. with their first album finally hitting here in the new year. The first album will hit stores here in the States this coming February.
Salute will be the second studio-album from the group, the group will release their first album, DNA, on February 4, 2014 through Columbia Records her in States. As for the second album, it will hit U.K. fans on Nov. 11, on November 3rd you can expect to hear the digital release of the new single “Move.”
The group is from the U.K. version of The X Factor, they won the contest in 2011, and did quite well with the two singles “Wings” and “How Ya Doin’,” that hit No. 4 when it debuted on the Billboard 200 chart. That single took the honor of the highest start ever for a U.K. female group’s first album on the Billboard 200 chart. It even beat out the first U.K. girl group that you may have thought of, the Spice Girls, who had the record when they reached No. 6 in 1997.
After Salute’s Feb. 4 U.S. release date, the group will kick off a North American tour with Demi Lovato. “We are so excited to release our second album, Salute, in the U.S. on February 4, right before we kick off our very first U.S. tour with Demi Lovato,” says the group’s Jesy Nelson, who records alongside Perrie Edwards, Leigh-Anne Pinnock, and Jade Thirlwall. “We’ve worked extremely hard writing this album over the past couple of months, and cannot wait to perform for all of you Mixers!”
