Bruno-Mars-InsertAs expected Pepsi has announced the headliner for the 2014 Pepsi Super Bowl XLVIII halftime show, and that honor is going to Bruno Mars. The singer will take center-stage at at the MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, N.J., on February 2, 2014. The NFL made the official announcement earlier today (Sunday).
The singer,born Peter Gene Hernandez, is 27 and recently performed at the MTV Video Music Awards in Brooklyn, N.Y. earlier this year. There were 110.5 million viewers in the United States alone that watched Beyoncé take on the Halftime show, she was met with former Destiny’s Child stars Kelly Rowland and Michelle Williams.
Mars himself confirmed the news on his personal Twitter account stating, “WE’RE GOING TO THE SUPER BOWL!!!!!!! #PepsiSBHalftime”
