Microsoft has confirmed the official release date, or launch date, of the Xbox One Console. The next-generation gaming machine will be available on November 22, 2013. This puts the Xbox One console launching just a week after the PS4 from Sony, both consoles are scheduled to launch in November, the PS4 will launch on November 15, 2013.
The console will launch in 13 countries in November (UK, Ireland, Austria, France, Germany, Italy, Spain, US, CAN, MEX, BRA, AUS, NZ) the price is locked in at $499. Though it can still be considered a ‘global launch’ for the console, the number of countries that will be releasing the Xbox One on November 22nd was shaved-down a little due to localization issues with Kinect.
Of course this is if you can get a hold of the treasured device, as we get closer and closer to launch day it has only gotten harder to secure one of the consoles. Amazon is still taking pre-orders for the Xbox One, and promises to fill the orders as the company gets them in. You can still pre-order the special Xbox One Day One Edition on the Microsoft store as well. The Day One Edition includes a commemorative controller, Xbox One chat headset, an exclusive achievement, and special-edition packaging.
