One of the most popular films that is currently making the film-festival tours is ‘Salinger’ starring Philip Seymour Hoffman and Edward Norton. The project is being directed by Shane Salerno, and the film promises an extensive look at one of the most popular authors in American Literature.
Salinger is of course the reclusive author that created ‘The Catcher in the Rye’. A novel that is read by almost every adolescent here in America, and considered to be one of the most important works in recent American history, though that’s a debate that will never end.
The film version has an incredible cast, all starring themselves. This cast includes Philip Seymour Hoffman, Edward Norton, John Cusack, Martin Sheen, Tom Wolfe and Gore Vidal. Other stars also playing themselves include Judd Apatow, Danny DeVito, Margaret Salinger and Stephen Adly Guirgis including footage of J.D. Salinger himself.
The film will premiering in Australia on September 5, 2013.
