There are millions of gamers that are preparing to launch into Battlefield 4 when it launches later this month, but you can get a headstart on all of the multiplayer action by taking a few early steps.
Tomorrow (October 1st) is the first day that exclusive Origin members will get a chance to play Battlefield 4. There are a couple of tiers and restrictions to the Battlefield Beta, depending on when you pre-order or what platform you are playing on, so we wanted to iron everything out for our readers. If you are a Battlefield 3 Premium member, or are a registered owner of Medal of Honor Warfighter Limited Edition or Digital Deluxe Edition then you can enter the first tier beta starting October 1st.
Battlefield 4 Digital Deluxe Edition (Origin Only starts October 1st)
The first tier to gain access to the beta will be Origin members. These players can gain access to the exclusive beta with the Origin Digital Deluxe Edition. Players that pre-order the Digital Deluxe Edition will be among the very first to play Battlefield. Not only will they be the first to play, they will also get the China Rising Expansion Pack and three Gold Battlepacks full of new camos, dog tags, knives, XP boosts and other in-game bonuses. The standard edition of the game from Origin will still get you the China Rising Expansion Pack, but it won’t give you access to the beta, the 3 Gold Battlepacks or the Vehicle Shortcut Bundle for Battlefield 3.
Pre-order Standard Retail Edition (Amazon starts October 4)
Amazon is offering bonuses of its own by adding extra online credit to the other pre-order goodies. Customers that pre-order the standard edition from Amazon can pick up $10 Credit (perfect for your future holiday titles) and the Amazon Exclusive Battlepack which contains a combination of new weapon accessories, dog tags, knives, XP boosts, and character customization items. Pre-ordering will also get you the China Rising Premium Expansion Pack DLC.
Pre-order Standard Retail Edition (Gamestop starts October 4)
There is also the GameStop pre-order bonuses to consider, this includes the China Rising DLC, the Double XP Boost on Launch Weekend, and the beta that will let you play the Siege of Shanghai map in Conquest Mode or Domination Mode.
The beta will be open to Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and PC players on October 4th. Download from Xbox Live, PSN and Origin. (Gold membership required to participate in the Beta on Xbox Live).
