CBS to air NCIS Spinoff in 2014 set in New Orleans
Fans of NCIS should be very excited to learn that CBS has confirmed with us that a new spinoff series of the popular show will air next year. CBS is in the planning stages of yet another “NCIS” spinoff, this time the new series will focus on the Naval Criminal Investigative Service‘s New Orleans office.
The beloved city will play host to a whole new set of problems for the unconfirmed cast, with partying military personnel on leave, and other criminal mischief taking center stage. As of right now the show will air in the spring of 2014, though an exact date won’t be known until we get further along in production. What has been confirmed, along with the series itself, is that it will be exec produced by “NCIS” exec producers Mark Harmon (shown on the right) and Gary Glasberg.
Fans of the show “NCIS,” know that the show itself is a spinoff of previous CBS drama “JAG”. NCIS is one of the best series on television, with over a routine 20 million viewers tuning in every week. “NCIS” begins its 11th season today (Tuesday) on CBS.
