FX sets premiere date for American Horror Story Coven
Horror fans should be excited that ‘American Horror Story’ now has a premiere date, the network has decided that the third season of the series will debut on October 9, 2013. The anthology series from Ryan Murphy and Brad Falchuk is set to return this fall, leading it right into perfect Halloween settings across America.
The premiere was confirmed when a trailer for the third season was released earlier today, the season is called ‘COVEN’ and you can check out the video above. A few big named are expected to appear in this season including, Kathy Bates as Madame LaLurie, Jessica Lange and Sarah Paulson. Also included this season are Alexandra Breckenridge Denis O’Hare, Emma Roberts, Angela Bassett, Patti LuPone, Gabourey Sidibe, Evan Peters, Taissa Farmiga, Frances Conroy and Lily Rabe.
As you can probably guess from the title, season three will focus on witches and witchcraft throughout America’s history. Murphy has stated that the opening credits will hold one of the major clues for the season, “You have to watch it 10 times because every frame is a clue for what the season will be,” Murphy stated. He then added, “And every year it has a different tone, look and concept. By the last frame of the main title for Coven, you’ll really have an idea of what the last frame of the Coven season will be.”
