Erica Piccininni starred in the Broadway hit that was ‘Jersey Boys,’ now she will be picking up the role once again, only this time under Clint Eastwood as director. Warner Bros. confirmed that the actor will star in the film adaptation of the Tony-winning musical.
Fans of the musical should remember Piccininni, she starred in Jersey Boys’ original Broadway production, and will reprise the same role of Lorraine. The musical detailed the lives of Frankie Valli and the Four Seasons, who both rose, and fell, from fame’s fleeting grasp. They were once the best-selling music groups of all time, ‘Big Girls Don’t Cry’ and ‘Can’t Take My Eyes Off You’ being two of their biggest hits.
Lorraine was a Detroit reporter who begins a sordid affair with one of the band’s musicians (Frankie played by John Lloyd Young. As it stands now Christopher Walken, Jeremy Luke, Vincent Piazza and Joey Russo are cast in the film.
