The gaming industry knew that Ubisoft would be announcing a new IP at this year’s GamesCom event but there were only a few confirmed details until today. A small glitch caused the Ubisoft website to reveal the new game earlier this morning though, and it’s called ‘Fighter Within’.
The new game is a Kinect game for the Xbox One, which could let a lot of people down that were hoping for a new multi-console release franchise from the popular developer. Since the leak, Ubisoft has removed the page, but you view a cached copy thanks to Google.
The developers behind the game are Daoka, the official description for the game is, ” Discover Fighter Within, the next-gen game that provides you the excitement of a real fight, throwing you into the most immersive total-body combat experience ever made.”
The website also stated, “Test your real fighting skills thanks to the next gen of motion recognition. The new Kinect technology arms Fighter Within with realistic fighting moves using unprecedented 1 to 1 precision movement tracking,” adding, “Enter a brutal, physical and liberating world: New-gen jaw-dropping graphics, real-time wounds, sweat & facial impacts, extreme arenas environments, primal animations… The new Xbox One Kinect allows you to dive into a unique realistic experience and feel the fight. All you expect from a next gen fighting game is there.”
The website’s official description also included the following:
Enter a world of sweat, timing and training. Brawling with your friends will never feel the same again.
