Brie Larson and Fernando Bacilio takes top spots at Locarno Film Festival
Of all the upcoming and actors on your list, Brie Larson should be at the top, the actor recently won the best actress award at the The Locarno Film Festival, which came to an end on Saturday night in Switzerland.
Larson won for her amazing work in ‘Short Term 12,’ a story of a foster-care home and following one of the woman that worked there. Best actor went to Fernando Bacilio for his terrific performance in ‘El Mudo’. It was quite a night for dramas, as the Pardo d’Oro went to ‘Story Of My Death,’ the spanish film centering around the final moments of the great Giacomo Casanova, that film was directed by Albert Serra.
Also among the top awards, Joaquim Pinto’s E Agora? Lembra-Me won the jury prize and Best Director went to Hong Sang-soo South Korean film ‘Our Suhni’. Larson has a number of projects coming out including Relanxious, Bitter Orange and Basmati Blues.
