It’s not uncommon for video-games to come with terrific pre-orders, though most of the time they are only in-game items, some collectables or in-store credit. This year Amazon, EA, the NFL along with Sony and Microsoft, teamed up to create the Madden NFL 25 Anniversary Edition NFL Sunday Ticket, offering customers who pre-order the game NFL Sunday Ticket on Computers, Tablets, and Mobile Devices
The promotion is an exclusive to Amazon, the Madden NFL 25 Anniversary Edition combines a copy of Madden NFL 25, with a 17 week Madden Ultimate Team pack subscription. The most important bonus though is the exclusive offers for DirecTV and NFL Sunday Ticket.
As Amazon details, “Each Anniversary Edition includes a special code for eligible gamers giving them the opportunity to unlock a special, 2013 regular season (17 weeks) trial of NFL Sunday Ticket on computer, tablet, and mobile devices.”
If you are able to receive DirecTV service, “a special promo code will be included entitling them to an exclusive promotion, including $10 off per month for their first year of service, and one year of NFL Sunday Ticket Max at no additional charge” will be offered.
The promotion has caused Madden NFL 25 Anniversary Edition to maintain a chokehold on other games, even though the $99 price-tag is higher than a usual $60 game, the savings with the DirectTV package make it almost too good to be true. The game has remained at the #1 spot for video-games for weeks now, even with popular games like Grand Theft Auto V and Warner Brother’s recently announced Batman: Arkham Origins Collector’s Edition on the market.
Football season is just around the corner, featuring the Baltimore Ravens visiting the Denver Broncos at Sports Authority Field at Mile High on Thursday, Sept. 5 (8:30 p.m. ET on NBC). The game itself comes out on August 29th 2013.
