Harrison Ford steps in for Bruce Willis in Expendables 3
You can consider it an upgrade or a downgrade, but Bruce Willis has dropped out of the third-installment of the Expendables film, and Harrison Ford is joining the squad.
It was none other than star Sylvester Stallone that tweeted the news earlier today (Tuesday) saying, “WILLIS OUT… HARRISON FORD IN !!!! GREAT NEWS !!!!! Been waiting years for this!!!!” The film, from Lionsgate, is currently scheduled to launch in August 2014 and will have Stallone return as Barney Ross, Jackie Chan, Nicolas Cage and now Harrison Ford in the ranks.
The second film in the series had Stallone, Jason Statham, Jet Li, Dolph Lundgren, Chuck Norris, Terry Crews and Bruce Willis. That filmed also launched in August of 2012 and led the weekend with $28.6 million. Overall the series has earned Millenium and Lionsgate $300.4 million worldwide.
