Disney’s musical ‘Into the Woods’ casts MacKenzie Mauzy as Repunzel

 
The new musical ‘Into the Woods’ has cast another major role, this time of the long-haired beauty Rapunzel, the role will be played by MacKenzie Mauzy. The new musical is still in relatively early stages, despite hoping for a fall 2014 release date.
 
Fans of the CBS series ‘Guiding Light’ and ‘The Bold and the Beautiful’ should recognize MacKenzie Mauzy from their respective shows. Mauzy also has a fantastic Broadway career, she appeared in ‘A Tale Of Two Cities,’ ‘Next To Normal’, and was present for the 2011 Chicago production of ‘White Noise’.
 
Also set to star is Meryl Streep, Johnny Depp, Emily Blunt, Anna Kendrick, Chris Pine, and Billy Magnussen. The production is already generating tremendous buzz because of the all-star cast. The movie will be directed by Rob Marshall and set to hit theaters Christmas 2014.
