Lionsgate was the film studio to watch this year at San Diego’s Comic Con, the studio finally debuted the first look at ‘I, Frankenstein’, their modern-day installment to the classic franchise. Lionsgate’s upcoming version of Mary Shelly’s classic tale, won’t be in theaters until January 24, 2014 but fans got to meet the stars of the series at the Lionsgate Panel this weekend.
It was co-stars Aaron Eckhart and Yvonne Strahovski that were joined with writer Kevin Grevioux and director Stuart Beattie. The cast talked about their upcoming roles, and what the new story will bring to audiences. During the panel Beattie stated that the new version will be “very much Mary Shelly’s character but it’s updated in a modern context to see it in a whole new light.” The trailer that was shown to the crowd (we will publish the video when it becomes publicly available). Ekhart is shown as a Frankenstein’s monster, fighting supernatural enemies.
