It was one of the most highly anticipated panels at Comic-Con 2013, the panel for ‘The Avengers 2’ and Marvel made it spectacular. Tom Hiddleston, in character as Loki, made a speech at the begining to get the crowd excited. Soon the crowd was chanting, “Lo-ki, Lo-ki, Lo-ki,” then came the reveal of the title.
Fans of course seemed very excited to see famed director Joss Whedon when he entered the stage. The full presentation had moments from ‘Thor: The Dark World’ and ‘Captain America: The Winter Soldier’, with a special surprise of ‘Guardians of the Galaxy’.
Then after some panning from the camera in the video that suddenly went on the screen, the Marvel villain Ultron’s helmet came into view. The crowd…went…nuts. Fans of the comic books know that Ultron is an AI created by Ant-Man, Dr. Henry Pym. It doesn’t take long before Ultron tries to kill Ant Man and then the world. The Vision was created by Ultron but he later joins The Avengers. Ant Man, Ultron, The Vision, The Avengers….see how it’s all coming together?
Hiddleston appeared and and stated that Hall H was “a meager palace of Midgard”. The cast of Captain America: The Winter Soldier were introduced and fans got to see the new film for the first time. On-hand from that film were Chris Evans, Samuel L. Jackson, Scarlett Johansson, Sebastian Stan and Anthony Mackie.
