Children and adults everywhere can look forward to a special ‘Star Wars’ themed episode of the popular series ‘Phineas and Ferb’. Disney made the announcement earlier today at Comic Con.
Both of the shows creators, Dan Povenmire and Jeff Marsh, were on hand to make the special announcement. The two attended San Diego’s Comic Con convention this afternoon where they announced an new hour-long special episode that will place the duo’s in Star Wars universe.
“Phineas and Ferb,” itself is the popular story of two stepbrothers who take on adventures and projects during their long summer vacations. Going on its seventh year, the show is the number-one animated series for kids 6-11 appearing in primetime.
The “Star Wars” episode will have the adventurous duo on planet Tatooine, where they are soon tasked with the plans to destroy the famous Death Star. Disney of course bought Lucas’ franchise for $4 billion last year. The “Star Wars” episode will air next year on the Disney Channel and Disney XD. The company is currently casting ‘Star Wars: Episode VII’.
