Michael Moore and Kathleen Glynn, wife and producer, to divorce after 21 years
Michael Moore and his wife Kathleen Glynn, seem to be on the road to divorce. The highly publicized filmmaker has reportedly filed for divorce last June. The couple have been married for 21 years.
MLive is reporting that Michael Moore was the one to file, the couple own a home near picturesque Torch Lake in Michigan. Moore filed in Antrim County Circuit Court on June 21, 2013. The site said the official reasons given for the divorce was that the couple no longer shares a residence, and that there is “no reasonable likelihood that the marriage can be preserved.”
Although the couple does not have children, they have been married for over two-decades, and both are from the town of Flint, Michigan, not too far from the home mentioned above. That home is estimated to be worth $1.2 million, while Moore is worth closer to $50 million. The two aren’t just husband and wife, they are long-time collaborators. Glynn had worked with Moore as producer, even executive producer, on many of Moore’s films; the most notable being ‘Bowling for Columbine’, and two of his latest projects ‘Fahrenheit 9/11’ and ‘Sicko’.
More information will be reported if the couple release a statement.
