Nokia brought down the house with their new Lumia 1020, 41-megapixel camera smartphone that will be released later this year. With that information comes a lot of new apps that are headed to the Windows 8 operating system as well.
The private social network that is Path will finally come to Windows 8 Phone and the company is is working with Nokia directly for the migration. Even though Vine, Flipboard, Hipstamatic and Path are coming to Windows 8 Phone, there was no mention of Instagram yet. Path stated on their blog, “This is a platform that we are especially excited to build on because it has been one of the most requested platforms by our users from all corners of the globe,” and added, “We’ve worked closely with the team at Nokia to build Path for Windows Phone, with a special focus on the new Nokia Lumia 1020 device.”
Vine will be arriving on Windows Phone 8 at long last as well, the service only recently launched on Android phones, now the top trio of smartphone platforms is complete. Flipboard (where you can find terrific online magazines like ours) is also coming to Windows 8 Phone but no date was announced at this time.
