Rapper 50 Cent arrested, charged with domestic violence and vandalism
It’s been a very busy night for rapper 50 Cent this evening as reports are confirme that the rapper has been charged with domestic violence by the Los Angeles Police Department. The arrest took place earlier today (Wednesday). According to the reports, 50 Cent (Curtis Jackson) allegedly kicked the mother of his child and destroyed property in her Toluca Lake, California, condo last month.
It was this evening on Twitter that 50 Cent denied the arrest. According to the L.A. City attorney, who released a statement obtained by CNN, which stated that the rapper faces one count of domestic violence and four counts of vandalism. “During an argument, Jackson allegedly began destroying the female’s property,” the prosecutor said. “Allegedly when the female locked herself in her bedroom, Jackson kicked-open the bedroom door and kicked her, causing an injury.”
Police were called on June 23, where they found broken furniture, and broken chandeliers with clothes found all over the floor. There is also a report of a broken TV and a lamp. The damage is estimated at $7,100 but 50 Cent was not at the location when police arrived.
If convicted 50 Cent could face up to five years in jail and $46,000 in fines. On Twitter the rapper stated, “I’m in the car I haven’t been arrested. I’m listing to MJ#SMSAUDIO”
