Disney releases Boba Fett screentest from the archives, shot 35 years ago today
Boba Fett was easily one of the most underrated characters in the original Star Wars films, his limited screen-time and mysterious origins made him one of the most interesting characters in the original series.
As everyone knows, Bobs Fett was eventually killed. He didn’t get the epic death scene such a character deserves (he was one of the few characters that Han Solo seemed honestly afraid of) but to celebrate his awesomeness Disney has released the original black and white screentest for the iconic bounty hunter (shown above).
This is the “original white Fett costume in action” according to the official description in YouTube. They called it “proto Fett’s” reveal to George Lucas himself. The video was shot on June 28, 1978. The video is a great inside look at the character, and if you are a Star Wars fan you will want to watch the “different weapons, functions, and characteristics of the costume” being modeled by film editor Duwayne Dunham.
