Just a few hours after Paula Deen released a public apology begging for forgiveness after it came to light that the Food Network star has used racial slurs in the past, the Food Network has announced that it will be dropping her program.
Deen released her apology video on YouTube earlier today, this came just hours itself after Paula Deen canceled her appearance on the Today Show. It was later revealed that Deen will be holding an interview with Matt Laurer to discuss the problems that Deen has been facing over the past few days. It is unclear if that interview on NBC will continue, though we are sure NBC would want the interview more than ever.
Now it seems that Paula Deen will not be returning to the Food Network in a any form. The Food Network issued a statement this afternoon: “Food Network will not renew Paula Deen’s contract when it expires at the end of this month.”
