Paula Deen canceled her appearance on the Today show this morning, and that had a lot of people talking about what the TV star had planned after reports of her using racial-slurs in the past hit the news.
Now we have an answer, Paula Deen had apologized on Thursday for past racial remarks have been plaguing the 66 year-old Food Network since they were uncovered this week. “I want to apologize to everybody for the wrong that I’ve done,” Deen said in the above video. “I want to learn and grow from this. Inappropriate and hurtful language is totally, totally unacceptable. I’ve made plenty of mistakes along the way, but I beg you, my children, my team, my fans, my partners, I beg for your forgiveness. Please forgive me for the mistakes that I’ve made.”

After Deen admitted that she has use racial slurs in the past the network stated, “Food Network does not tolerate any form of discrimination and is a strong proponent of diversity and inclusion. We will continue to monitor the situation.”
