Reports say Microsoft will drop DRM restrictions, allow used games
When a company has to retool it’s most significant policy in a new device, things are not going well. That’s apparently what is happening with the Microsoft Xbox One as reports point to the company removing its restrictions on used games and ‘always on’ checks.
The reports of Microsoft dropping their Internet requirements and the restrictions on used games, come from WhatHiFi and GiantBomb. Microsoft has also updated their Xbox One Q&A, GiantBomb says Microsoft has decided to remove the Xbox One restrictions like the 24 hour check, no authentification, only one internet connection to set-up the Xbox One, downloaded games work both on and offline and no region locks.
Microsoft has not made an official comment yet at this time.
