2K Games has released a new trailer for the third-person shooter ‘The Bureau: XCOM Declassified,’ which seems to be directed towards the surrounding questions players still have about how you play the title.
When making a spinoff series it can be hard to show players exactly what type of game you are making, XCOM fans have been very accustomed to the same gameplay-rules in the series for a long time now. Just jumping into a new third-person, cover-based shooter themed-after the classic series can be a bit of a shock. The latest trailer (shown above) shows a few of the familiar elements that players might recognize from the franchise, while introducing the new gameplay that ‘The Bureau: XCOM Declassified’ brings to the table.
It’s a blend of real-time shooting and strategy mechanics, with on-the-fly commands to your team like defend, turret throwing, mine-placing and other tools you may have seen in previous games, while still offering a new third-person shooting game.
All of the mysteries will be solved when The Bureau: XCOM Declassified releaseson PS3, Xbox 360, and PC on August 20.
