Just a few hours after the firmware update 4.45 went live, PS3 players began to report that their consoles are locking up and freezing. Many think that it is form the update itself.
The firmware went live earlier today, but since then many players are reporting that the firmware update is locking users out of their console. The PS3 Support forum stated they couldn’t boot their consoles, while others are claiming that full system restores aren’t fixing the situation either.
In any case you should follow the PlayStation Twitter account, which will notify you if a problem has been found and if a problem has been fixed. As of midnight on Tuesday, these were unconfirmed reports but adding up fast. If you experienced this let us know below, if you found a fix, please help out your fellow PS3 player in need.
