The LEGO Movie is almost here and it looks to be as much fun, and zany, as the games that helped usher in the blocks to mainstream television and films.
This would be the first teaser trailer for ‘The Lego Movie,’ which stars Will Ferrell and Chris Pratt as LEGO Actors. Be prepared for just a tidal-wave of pop-culture references, slapstick humor and off the wall anticts that only the LEGO universe could provide. There is even talk of Michelangelo (yes the painter and YES the Ninja Turtle).
The CGI project is being directed by Phil Lord and Chris Miller, the same team that brought you ‘Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs’ and the cop-comedy reboot of ’21 Jump Street’. The duo also co-wrote this action adventure comedy.
The film itself centers around the Lego character Emmett (played by Chris Pratt), who the town thinks the MasterBuilder that has come to save them from the horrible President Business (played by Will Ferrell). President Business is tired of all this block-nonsense and wants to put the bricks together….permanently. Also included in the cast is the comedic legend Liam Neeson, the absolutely adorable Alison Brie and the velvet-voiced stylings of Morgan Freeman. The Lego Movie has a release date of February 7, 2013.
