CBS dominates the competition at 40th Annual Daytime Emmy Awards

 
After the smoke and glitter cleared, CBS can add eight more wins from the Broadcast Ceremony and 13 Wins at Creative Ceremony. Making it the number one Emmy collector of the evening.
 
CBS had a total of 21 combined wins at “The 40th Annual Daytime Emmy Awards” broadcast and creative ceremonies this weekend. THE PRICE IS RIGHT, daytime’s #1 show and the longest-running game show in television history, won its sixth Daytime Emmy for Outstanding Game Show, and CBS SUNDAY MORNING WITH CHARLES OSGOOD, television’s #1 Sunday morning news program, won its first Daytime Emmy for Outstanding Morning Program. In addition, game show icon Monty Hall of the original LET’S MAKE A DEAL was honored with the Lifetime Achievement Award, presented to him by the current host, Wayne Brady.
 
Outstanding Lead Actor Doug Davidson of THE YOUNG AND THE RESTLESS (his first win in his 38 year career on the show), and an Outstanding Lead Actress win for THE BOLD AND THE BEAUTIFUL’s Heather Tom, her fifth overall. Scott Clifton of THE BOLD AND THE BEAUTIFUL and Billy Miller of THE YOUNG AND THE RESTLESS tied for Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Drama Series, while THE BOLD AND THE BEAUTIFUL picked up awards for Outstanding Directing and Outstanding Writing.
