Sony has narrowed down the release dates for the upcoming installments of ‘The Amazing Spider-Man 3’ and ‘The Amazing Spider-Man 4’. The two films will debut in June and May.
The official dates for the films are ‘The Amazing Spider-Man 3’ on June 10, 2016 and ‘The Amazing Spider-Man 4’ on May 4, 2018. So you have a while to see the third and fourth installments but ‘The Amazing Spider-Man 2’ with Paul Giamatti as The Rhino and Andrew Garfield as Peter Parker, is currently in production in New York and will hit theaters May 2, 2014. That film was directed by Marc Webb with a screenplay by Alex Kurtzman Roberto Orci and Jeff Pinkner, with a former draft by James Vanderbilt. Of course, The Amazing Spider-Man is based on the Marvel Comic Book series by Stan Lee and Steve Ditko.
The films offer Sony a rocksolid lineup of summer hits for the next five years at least. Sony vice chairman Jeff Blake stated that, “Spider-Man is our most important, most successful, and most beloved franchise, so we’re thrilled that we are in a position to lock in these prime release dates over the next five years.”
